🆕 blog! “2025 - A Year In Review”
Much like the emperors of old, the year ends on my birthday. As of today, the world is reborn anew as I ascend into the next year of my life. So, what was being 45 like?

When I freelanced, the ability to turn jobs down felt like a very positive thing!
@Edent Hmm, I sort of did something near similar at that age (and did my own internet startup, heavy SVG use in single page web app) but returned to more regular work a few years later and found it even less satisfying than before. And I'm now eyeing up a "work pays for it, 20% of time, MSc" but my misgivings seem to match your review. Wife has managed the stop (& doing an Masters in psychotherapy) but as we have a son (now 21) the FIRE/FILE is harder to pull off
