Similarly, making a drawing even is about 1h of work, and I rarely ever managed to finish one. Making music basically eats all day. I love both and put in the hours, but clicking the shutter and then doing the rote chores of developing and scanning for some reason gives me actual artistic fulfillment (music does too, but damn is it time consuming).

I don’t know what it is about the immediacy (yet weeks if not months long delay between making the photo and then seeing it printed) of transforming emotion/seeing (because I basically make a photo when something catches my eye/brain in an emotional way) into image works so well and is different from drawing, which to me feels mostly technical.

#llms also push software building into a more emotional/intuitive/artistic realm which I only saw glimpses of before, before they got overshadowed by the intellectual effort and grind software development used to be.

And I stand firmly by my stance that #llms are a powerful #disability support for
#neurodivergent people. I can plan significant endeavors without being afraid that my time blindness will fuck things up (either I arrive 2 hours early or I mess it up bad), I can jumpstart important executive tasks (taxes, etc…), I can offload my overactive brain’s ideas, I can remove distractions from websites by generating the right tampermonkey scripts, avoid falling into deep rabbit holes just because I want to know something fast or research a topic.

All of these make a significant difference in my life and allow me to be more present in the real world.

Here’s me creating a small system to quickly block in components in blender, at breakfast while mostly spending my time reading a photobook: https://manus.im/share/fEkThyZv8KVFL8P7EJ2CHD?replay=1

It also allows me to focus on the strategic part of building software and the fundamentals of the technologies I use, not their surface api. Each project comes with a detailed guide to help me understand exactly that, basically the opposite of brainrot (because damn can programming APIs and quirks rot your brain too).
