#3DPrinting experts, generally my printer is pretty well calibrated these days, so it鈥檚 not really a problem, but do you know what can cause this sort of moir茅 pattern on the first layer? Could it be an artefact of the bed mesh compensation maths, or something mechanical?

@Floppy I was getting very similar patterns when my Z-offset was too low (ie nozzel was too close to the bed)

@Floppy I've had the exact thing happen to me, usually when printing thin pieces

I haven't found a cause yet. Hopefully some possible culprits will come from this thread

@Floppy vibration maybe? There are tools to measure vibration and calculate a compensation pattern for Klipper /cc @nocci

@floppy I've had simiular things happen when the filament is cooling too quickly. Are you printing in an enclosure? I have an ender3 and when i turned off the nozzle fan it went away.
