I am not sure how to begin to think about the risks we face in the #UK #university: multiple universities are in troubles with thousands of jobs and colleagues's life at risk, there are more than one thing we need fixing here in UK as the model doesn't work anymore and I would agree that gov and the university needs to stop running it as a business, but how?

I'd suggest to start by thinking about what a university is supposed to be and start from there.

Yes, I agree, but I guess then the problem becomes: who is "we"? Obviously not "everybody"...
