I have set up a server in a homelab using Proxmox, on top of Debian Trixie, thanks to the evangelizing of @stefano and @gyptazy (thanks fellas!).
All went fine, except Proxmox doesn't accept the only user on the Debian install before it. I used 'sudo' on the Debian install, therefore no root account.
Do I need a dedicated root user for #Proxmox to operate?

@marathon @stefano @gyptazy how does it compare to using Kubernetes and Helm for example? I have some experience with Docker, Docker Compose and Docker Swarm. I am considering learning K8s.

@marathon @gyptazy I'm glad you were able to set up your server! I think that Proxmox needs a root account - or, at least, I've always used it

Makes sense, guess a bit of a brain fart. Anyway I added a root user 'sudo passwd root' and was able to login. Looking forward to learning this software. :-)
