Never forget the collective pearl clutching of the political class when MP Tamatha Paul dared suggest that some people didn't feel safe around the police.

@zeborah funny that they never quote the whole saying.
A few bad apples spoil the bunch.

It originally meant that corruption spreads and damages all around it. Now the expression is used to describe the exact opposite and shield (usually corrupt police forces) from accountability.

Funny that.
