Gaza is under a ceasefire, which Israel has violated many times since its recent start.
As usual Israel is attempting to over step the details of this ceasefire and the IOF have encircled Rafah in an attempt to eliminate all Al Qassams Brigade fighters in the area.
Hamas says the defenders of Gaza will never give up their arms because Palestinians have a right to defend themselves from a genocide.
@nullagent Palestinian resistance fighters would be making their worst mistake ever if they gave up their weapons. Sounds like they know it too.

Such demands are best compared to an armed robber demanding their victim's gun.
Despite the stated goal of destroying Hamas and the Al Qassams Brigades this simply has not happened.
Al Qassams at my last read on the topic were still estimated to number well into the 20k of armed troops and have over 60% of their tunnel network still intact.
It's pretty clear Israel still has no idea how to find the tunnels in Rafah and this encirclement is an attempt to drive Hamas towards revealing the locations of tunnels in exchange for safe passage.
But the thing is NO ONE on planet earth whose been following this conflict trusts any Israeli promises of safe passage.
Israel has demonstrated countless times that ceasefire and safe-passage agreements mean absolutely nothing to the IOF.
The political leaders of Gaza are not fools, Hamas is more likely to stand their ground than surrender and imo these latest Israeli transgressions indicate they know this is a topic Hamas cannot compromise on.

Meanwhile Israel and Iran both appear to be rapidly preparing for a future missile based conflict.
As a result of the genocide in Palestine and IOF incursions in Lebanon Iran says they have removed all range limitations on their missile program. Last week they said building full blown ICBMs capable of directly hitting targets on the US mainland are now something thats on the table.
Prior to the genocide Iran's supreme leader restricted all missiles to a max 2000 mile range.
