@ai6yr Huh. Looks like it's been recovered at least once before. At least the plywood is good quality and in decent shape, can handle another recovering.

Just had a discussion with someone this week about the flimsy crap sold today versus the quality of vintage furniture. I have a mahogany bedroom set +80 years old which is built like a fortress. Ditto a mid-century modern bedroom set. I couldn't afford to buy anything close to their quality today.
