Let me guess: Another 'controlled' burn-off? If so, is the 'controller' going to pay for the damage? It wouldn't be an accident. Just pure stupidity. (If that was the cause).
Meanwhile in Dunedin... one scrub fire at Tomahawk Beach and over-privileged students in Castle Street firing fireworks at fire engines, twice in a week.
Allowing dumb people access to gunpowder is foolish. It's time to restrict explosives to public displays only. Then phase them out altogether in favour of drone shows.
