Be honest, kids, does knowing a company is slapping behavior-correction collars on its workers make you more or less likely to stop boycotting it?

@GrimmReality At this rate we have to boycott everything. No place to shop anymore. I mean I’d be okay.. if I just… didn’t need things… you know… to live/exist
@farah Yeah, no ethical consumption under capitalism and all that, which is true so you pick the battles where a company's particularly egregious or has been emphatically hypocritical - buuuut obv everybody gets an out when Brand/Store X is the ONLY thing available for the stuff you need, even if they're jerks. Hy-Vee corporate is a giant pack of assholes but sometimes they're the only store in town.
@GrimmReality wtf??
Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.
They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.
If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help.
The funny thing about this is this, I guess, is at least one big tactical move for the company's - and everyone's - biggest sales period as initiated by the NEW CEO after the last CEO tanked the entire year by complying in advance with the national mandate of programmatic bigotry and I think it's pretty indicative that the MBA class is right fucking out of ideas because - and this is key - MBA culture's mission is to, among other things, quash human creativity.
