So #QuoteToots have come to @IceCubesApp and display beautifully, but not yet to Toot! app where they also don’t really display in a functional way. It’s often this way.

It’s worth remembering that your #QuoteToots may not yet display for others in the way you expect. The app culture is always catching up. But honestly @IceCubesApp has done a nice job.

Tbh. I keep on forgetting that some people browse Mastodon via dedicated applications instead of their browser..
@Pepijn @IceCubesApp I know! This is why I often mention the app experience, to keep mobile users in mind. There are some lovely apps that do a great job. Toot! has been my favourite for alt text, but Ice Cubes jumps ahead on this one. Toot! will catch up. The app developers work really hard to make good things.
@kate I think I'll give apps a try one of these days. As the Mastodon browser experience is excellent I haven't found a need before.
In general I try to stay away from apps for stuff that can be a website.
