You know that meme of a huge complex system being propped up by a small bit of software that is maintained by an individual?
That meme is the video industry and VLC is that small bit of software. I literally could not do my job without it.
All of the honors should go to Kempf. All of them.
@kirschner @videolan @fsfe Videolan is amazing. I use it multiple times a week. If it is playable, VLC will play it.
Every time I see the donate page I think, “Better donate because what would I do if VLC no longer exists?”
