'I'm trying, but I'm very tired...' calligraphed in brown ink in blackletter script. The ink on the last 'd' of 'tired' and the first dot of the ellipsis is smudged, and there are ink splatters all over the page. There's a border of swirling vines with gold-flecked leaves in the bottom left and right corners extending up and across the page and ending in straight lines across the top.
