@stshank Have long history with Kilauea. In 1980’s visited Halemaumau Crater many times, now long gone, & walked along route of lava flow to ocean. Saw houses near volcano when they were inhabited, then saw them covered with lava rock years later. In 2003 walked to edge of eruption to watch hot lava oozing out of fissures. In 2016 niece & husband chased out of housing subdivision near Hilo by nearby eruption. Amazing how much of this history we’ve witnessed 🙂
