just putting a quick feeler out...are you a product person who's interested in helping out with some open source stuff? Specifically, foss designed to help artists/creatives/etc? I'm not doing a full call for folks rn but I'm wondering if I've got moots or other folks this might reach who are like 馃憖

I come from an economics background and then moved to backends and databases.
But also helping with translations, documentation and so on, maybe?
@zkat Sounds interesting, I'd be happy to contribute. Although I'm not primarily a UI/UX designer (more archvis/architecture) but I was coincidentally looking for ways to learn new skills and branch out to different disciplines

@belsedar Yep. Alas, we're a project squarely centered around the needs of creatives, and that's what they primarily expect to use. For our own internal communications, we use Loomio (which is FOSS, and created by a coop!) and we're trying to move more community interaction over there, but it's kind of an uphill battle, so we kinda gotta go with what works.

tl;dr FOSS, decentralized ecommerce where the search/discovery part and the shop/site parts are separate pieces, and the latter is generally self-hosted by sellers. It's especially meant for artists/creatives, in particular those who might be vulnerable to censorship (NSFW creatives and even SWers).
We have another product person helping us define the scope for a new dedicated product management/ux team + coming up with proper applications for members, and we expect to have that all ready within the next week.

@zkat I've done product owner and project manager work in the past. What are you envisioning as far as time commitment?
@pooserville we expect to have a number of folks so maybe on the order of an hour or two a week at minimum, up to whatever you end up being comfortable with. Just spitballing, though, since we haven鈥檛 set concrete requirements yet
