Happy Guru Nanak Jayanti to all celebrating!
Guru Nanak is seen as the founder of Sikhism. His message, delivered by God, was that all are equal and should live peacefully with one another.
His birthday is a major holiday in the Sikh calendar (although not all agree on the date). It's a day filled with joyful celebration and prayer, with many in the Sikh community travelling to their nearest Gurudwaras to submit special prayers.
