At this point the NY Times is just parodying itself.
@gleick as a Dutchman with only minimal insight into the mayoral elecrions in NY, it looks like there are quite a few rich and ‘influential’ people absolutely terrified about the prospect of Mamdani winning the election.
Sounds like a good thing😃
@gleick What's disturbing is that my Facebook page is filled with New York Democrats, and while a lot of them are very much on Mamdani's side, many of their friends aren't, some of my direct friends aren't, and the hatred!, it just horrifies me...
Man, New York Mayors have been one loser after another since, well, Koch, and it shows, as the city has driven out so much of what made it special.
Mamdani is promising: i hope he'll be just what New York City needs.
He isn't a rapist or a white collar felon, so maybe he isn't ready. /s
@gleick So the right kind of experience is disgrace, corruption and sexual assault?
@gleick To make it seem like polls indicated the lowest confidence in Mamdani’s experience, they choose to present Silwa’s 24% in words instead of numerically, as they do for Cuomo and Mamdani.
@gleick They’re apparently worried Mamdami will socialize newspapers, have them be operated by the city. ;)
@gleick he printed it out on laser printer paper instead of cotton bond
@gleick Or revealing it's lack of committment to real democracy.
@gleick The anti-Mamdani campange lead by billionaires, and their liberal mass media mouth pieces tells you everything you need to know about the US of A.
