The world is turning into @pluralistic Unauthorized Bread short story.

Samsung's smart fridges are beginning to show adds to annoy the crap out of its users.

I suggest renaming "smart" devices to "FART"-devices:
Fucking
Annoying
Redundant
Trash

@obucate @pluralistic

Marge and Homer Simpson trying to decide how to name internet connected devices:

Marge: What about calling them "smart" devices?

Homer: Let's see... Bart, Cart, Dart, Eeyart.... Nope. Can't see any problem with that.

@nicr9 @obucate @pluralistic I'm all for it, but I'f also like to suggest SHART Devices.

Silently
Harvesting
All
Relevant
Telemetry

It hits harder in two ways:

1. Accurately portrays one of the most concerning trends about these devices (namely, collecting tons of data about the user).
2. A shart is objectively worse than a fart.
