@ChristinWhite I've cut all my use of #Apple services for the same reason. Given what we've seen in 2025 I see no reason to trust them. I've happily (and with some effort) gone back to local computing. My Apple gear worked just fine before iCloud and other Apple services. Bonus, with my local "cloud" set-up my Apple/Linux storage is all in synch (syncthing) I don't have to worry about Apple will do to "comply with local laws" in a #fascist US.

@dennyhenke I’m not sure I can cut back much further until I’m able to completely switch over to new hardware, which isn’t happening anytime soon. Apple’s going to be a compromise, for now but I’ll do what I can with less essential services like Spotify and Disney+.
