My kids have no gaming experience. Like a controller for a console is a foreign object.
I have a Raspberry Pi running RetroPi. I'd like to stay with older consoles because they're familiar to me and will cost me nothing. What are some SUPER beginner friendly titles?
@brianb Have you seen some of the stuff Atari is putting out now? I'm thinking about getting an Atari X, and they just released the Intellivision.
@taursndhaus I'm going to grab some old Atari stuff just to help with using the controllers to move something on the screen - Pong and maybe Pac Man.
@brianb as a kid we used to play on the master system "fantasy zone" a shootem up, and we love it.
I can't remember if it was the 1 or 2 though ...

Original NES Mario is pretty straightforward and starts of easier and progressively gets more difficult. Donkey Kong as well.
@That_One_Guy tried that...the jumping and moving mechanic was pretty frustrating for them this time. Gonna go older and work up I think.
