Random thought: at some point, it's probably easier for @phanpy to redirect users to use https://edit.photo/ or https://edit.video/ by @rikschennink , or https://squoosh.app/ (image compressor), then somehow redirect back to upload the media in the composer 🤔

@cheeaun @phanpy would definitely be interesting.

Open edit.photo → do the editing → edit.photo posts back resulting image (or the result can be accessed by opener. Ideally the whole site can stay static.

@rikschennink just thinking how the cross-domain flow would work. On Phanpy’s side, image is usually attached *then* the user will consider resizing/compressing if there are issues.

I’m thinking it’s like Site A postMessage the whole binary to Site B, resize/compress, then postMessage back to Site A - not sure if this would make sense 🫠

@cheeaun yeah I think so as well, you create a File object (or user adds it with file input) and then you can post message it to the other site and send result back.

Apparently that should also work with different origins.
