Cast your dream Doctor Who. Any actor, any race or sex, alive or dead.
@Hedgewizard I'd like to see some proper old-woman-who-doesn't-give-a-shit energy brought to the role. Qui Yuen or Shohreh Aghdashloo could definitely pull it off.
Cate Blanchett would be excellent. As would Gwendolin Christie.... Or of course Tilda Swinton! Or for younger, possibly Lenora Chrichlow or possibly Zowie Ashton.
How weird I went all female. Not conscious. Can't think of any male actors I'd particularly want at the moment....
Danny Dyer? Richard Ayoade? Bob Mortimer? Joe Wilkinson. I'm just doing the cast of Last One Laughing, aren't I.
@TheBreadmonkey @Hedgewizard Only male candidate I can think of - who hasn't already done it, because even though I love all of them, Tennant is still THE Doctor - would be Tom Holland, maybe?
@jwcph
Tenant was fantastic, but they say that everybody sees whoever rode the blue box when they were twelve as THE Doctor. So that's Tom Baker for me
@TheBreadmonkey
I was going to say 'Bob Mortimer, you're having a giraffe' but then I remembered that I seriously thought about Bill Bailey and Matt Berry, so what do I know? But seeing some of the intelligent and thoughtful suggestions on here I'm leaning away from comedians because they tend to be a bit cardboard
@Hedgewizard I don't know but I'd like to see what Tom Hardy would do with the Master.
