I mentioned earlier that I have been thinking $16,000 as an overall target, so that each of the 16 beneficiary food banks in the 16 blue trifecta states would get roughly $1000. It may be more realistic to aim for $8000, and so $500 per food bank. We’ll see. Every dollar a food bank receives pays for somewhere between 4 and 10 meals, depending on where the food bank is. Food banks get more bang for each buck because they buy in bulk; collect food from farms, grocery stores, and restaurants that would otherwise go to waste.
