I have just uploaded another new build, which should mark the end of the iOS 26 liquid glass rework. I am now pretty happy with how it behaves, and will probably not make any more major changes to it before release. Instead, I will focus on implementing quote toots.
@tootapp hooray -this was my favourite app for Mastodon until it started breaking, so glad to hear it’s being picked up again…

@tootapp not sure I can remember but it was about 6-8 months ago that I finally gave up and moved apps - if it would help I can go back and see whether I can reconstruct what the likely problem was
Change notes for build 180:
* Fixed the read counter on iOS 26
* Fixed the search UI on iOS 26
* Added tabs to the search UI to make it easier to navigate
* Made the alt text entry UI clearer on iOS 26
* Fixed one more bottom spacing weirdness
Build 181 is now out, with a larger than usual number of changes. The main ones are support for viewing quote toots, and some changes to the notification list UI. Also, a new game for some reason?
Full change list for 181 (or is it?):
* Now displaying quote toots.
* Now using the filters v2 API, which means filters can be used to set content warnings instead of removing toots.
* Slightly updated search view that splits the results types onto different screens.
* Read counter is now liquid glass.
* Lots of internal rewrites that have probably added fun new bugs to find.
* A new relax menu game that hints at future plans.
* Mystery features.
Oops, one of the bugs in 181 was a bit TOO much fun. 182 is now out and should NOT crash when boosting things. Also, you can now tap on the post you are replying to while composing a reply again.
Build 183 of Toot! 26 is now out! This one adds the ability to actually do quote toots! It is still missing notifications for quotes and a few little UI tweaks, but other than that the feature is almost done.
Full changes are:
* You can now actually quote toot!
* Don't apply the content warning overlay on the notification view, so you can actually see your own toots.
* Fixed a failure to handle emojos from certain servers such as Misskey.
* Fixed some image loading issues, affecting among other things the emojo selector.
