Amazing: NYC gov't released a #DnD one-shot designed to teach ethics rules to city employees. https://www.nyc.gov/assets/coib/downloads/pdf2/puzzler/escape-from-the-dinkins-building.pdf

NYC ethics law D&D module released to all 300,000 employees | Isaiah Tanenbaum posted on the topic | LinkedIn

Before I left the NYC Conflicts of Interest Board back in 2022, I created (along with Dan Iwrey and Rob Casimir) what might be the greatest municipal ethics-law-based D&D one-shot module ever conceived.... or at the very least the ONLY municipal ethics-law-based D&D one-shot module ever conceived. My understanding is that it was finally released today, not just to COIB's newsletter, but in fact to all 300,000 NYC government employees, an act which required the "highest" clearance. I assume this means that Mayor Eric Adams (or perhaps a close subordinate) found themselves reading about werewolf vendors, a crypto-mining Staten Island Chuck, and a trap that can only be defused if one happens to know that Fiorello La Guardia had a particular loathing for a specific vegetable. As it is in the public domain, there is nothing stopping me from sharing it with you as well. Now you, too, can enjoy this -- either as an adventure module for your existing adventuring party, if that's how you happen to roll (role?), or just to read and maybe even learn something about NYC's very weird ethics law.
