Open letter to the people who designed/built Jira…
I want to say very bad things but I’m trying to be a better person and speak more kind words than bad words but your product that I use only because it’s for my job makes me want to scream a little because OMFG stop please and revisit your UX because it needs so much help it’s so bad it hurts and I want some salve for my soul which is being crushed.

I use Redbooth. For big-ass projects, I like OpenProject, but for teams of five or less, Redbooth works great.

I have no idea about Jira (except it something computer-related....) but 😳 If you go on a semi-rant it *HAS* to be bad.

It’s one of those enterprise tools that has 857,094 features, and people usually only use a combination of 10 of them.
The worst part is the interaction design, though. If you are adding a tag or editing something, you can’t use an escape or return key to get out of it. If you do, it adds things you don’t want or removes work you’ve already done. And about 90% of the screen is clickable, so you can’t click out of something without clicking into something else. So you get trapped.
