Good that Europe is finally moving to end Russian fossil gas imports. Less money fuelling Putin’s war machine is a win.

But swapping Russian gas for US gas is no solution. It would only lock in decades of pollution and dependence.

Europe must choose renewables, not fossil fuels from other suppliers. We need a full fossil gas phase-out by 2035.
