New quilt up! Cat-scrapaganza! #quilting #QuiltsOfMastodon

I used a Meow-a-pa-looza cat block and a bunch of cool shirting I got from a friend who was moving into assisted living.
You can see the method in the third pic -- I wanted the circles to reflect the block size so I pinned a cloth template on and used a Hera marker to trace it. It wasn't as successful as I'd have liked because it drifted, but it was a good experiment.
A view of the backing with cute hopping and playing frogs and little flowers.
A work in progress photo with a pinkish fabric circle template pinned to a square.
A closeup of the bottom right corner, where there are two outlier cats. The one on the left is a white cat with orange ears and an orange heart on its flank. The one on the right is a black cat. They're snuggling face-to-face.
A very large throw quilt made up of rows of cats in various shirting fabrics in pinks and browns and blues and oranges. Some of the cats are sitting with their butts touching and some are head-to-head. There's a thin brown border, then a thick border of vertical or horizontal strips of the shirting. In the bottom right corner are two outliers, a white cat with orange highlights and a black cat.
