We need to dig back into #DIY media culture imperfect, chaotic, and beautiful, to when it worked. When it grew from the soil of the #openweb and from social trust, not from the mess of brands and algorithms.

What is grassroots media? It’s not “content creation.” It’s not “influencer culture.” It’s not another #NGO-funded project selling “voices from below” for grant money.
It’s the messy, local, real-world networks of people using tools to speak, share, and act together outside institutional control #KISS
