Listening to some of my favourite albums of the year in an attempt to provisionally decide what order to put them in, even though we still have 11 weeks and at least four potentially great albums to come 🫠

New Last Dinner Party and Tame Impala albums are good, but provisional top ten remains unaffected for now.
Also, before buying the latter, I have to consider that I own four Tame Impala albums, yet it never occurs to me to listen to them.
It's like a very specific variety of object impermanence, where I'll hear Tame Impala in a shop or something, think 'oh yeah, Tame Impala exists', then promptly forget about them until the next time.
This happened again at the hairdresser today. I liked the Tame Impala song that came on. Will it occur to me to listen to him off my own bat? Will it fuck.
