Dominion Media Television dropped this absolute #StarTrek banger the other day and I couldn't not share it here.

An "American Chopper Argument" meme. In the first panel the angry father says: Michael Burnam adds depth to Spock's character". In the second panel the equally angry son replies "He never mentioned having an adopted sister ever!". In the third panel the even angrier father retorts: "He never mentioned having a half-brother either!". In the fourth panel the son throws a chair and screams: "Star Trek V sucked". In the last panel the father is pointing his finger and says: "Your pain runs deep. Share it with me."

In case you haven't see Star Trek V the last panel uses Spock's half-brother Sybok's line from the movie, and yes, that movie sucked.

@gabrielesvelto Spock clearly had no intention of telling Kirk who his parents were *even when they were standing right in front of him*. Compared with that, not mentioning a foster sister is nothing.

That said, I actually really like Star Trek V because of all the movies it's the one that's the most like an actual episode of the original series. A third season episode, maybe, but still.

Gene Roddenberry himself said never let continuity get in the way of a story.

@gabrielesvelto I liked Star Trek V.

But I found Saint Burnham, the ultimate Mary Sue savior of the universe, to be insufferable
