"Diorama of power dynamics." Beyond euphemism, that is glib glorification of dictatorship. The #BrokenTimes would rather show off its turn of phrase than call fascism what it is.

To be clear, I don't just want journalists to label fascism. I want them to explain it, to examine, investigate, and report on it in the context of history and the world. They can't do that if they are unwilling even to use the word, masking reality, hiding behind euphemisms. That is not journalism.

@jeffjarvis. I agree with your statement. The journalists should get back to what journalists really do, not cave in to a wannabe dictator.

@jeffjarvis and the consequences. World war, Concentration camps, and if you once, only once, disagree you become a inhibitant or end up in Uganda. No passport, no hair colour, no other opinion keeps you safe. Non is ever safe.
Most of the people think: I agree with Trump, so I will be protected. You will be not.

Ouch, this Freedom of speech thing again.
"You may have the right to speak, but it might not be a good idea ..." ?

... for the journalist, for her employer, for the owner of the company ...

I am afraid that Janis Joplin got it right: "Freedom's just another word for 'nothing left to lose' ..."

Maybe asking the journalists what they could do for freedom is the second, not the first question?

( I know, you are personally doing all you can possibly do - don't get me wrong! )

@jeffjarvis I would like someone to explain that all those who oppose MAGA are not "Antifa". The liberal/progressive rush to embrace the label - "Antifa=Antifascist" just amplifies MAGA's accusations . Antifa is really mostly anarchist so it is hard to see that they are loosely organized. It should be easy to see that people supporting democracy are not anarchists and therefore NOT Antifa. It also should be possible to oppose persecuting Antifa without identifying as one of them.
