At least the Nazis were honest about hating and dismantling democracy. The #MurdochJournal sees fascism and calls it democracy.

@jeffjarvis For a decade at the local GOP meetings it was 'we aren't a democracy, we are a republic' until I eventually connected their phrase to why I was the only one telling swastika wavers to leave our protests and meetings. In was 14. Held onto the cult until escalator day. I said 'he's not my candidate' and my parents called me traitor. Idk, feels like media watchers are behind the times, as it were.
@jeffjarvis Two German sociologists wrote a book about "Demokratischer Faschismus" recently, arguing that historic fascism used the hate towards democracy to dismantle it, but today democracy is as well fascists' modus operandi as fascism is democrats temptation to get things done.

@jeffjarvis They were not, the evidence is right in the name. They called themselves socialists. This was to attract people in the 20s.
Pay attention to “left” organizations that work against their own interest by convincing people to throw their vote away. Its all happened before.
And here is the odious Niall Ferguson in the #MurdochJournal saluting the dictator: "Say what you like about Donald Trump, commanding comes naturally to him."

@jeffjarvis
If the outcome is "Transformational Results" it is most effective to simply wave around a gun and threaten violence. The WSJ finds thug tactics impressive.
@jeffjarvis "Say what you like about a cranky four year old, …"
@jeffjarvis I think they're unable to discriminate between "commanding" and "bullying".
@jeffjarvis Commanding also came naturally to my children until around the age of 6.
It is not as much of an acknowledgement as one would think.
@jeffjarvis
Disaster is notoriously “transformational.”
@jeffjarvis That is sociopathic in it's lack of empathy, maybe someday Americans will learn how to see it.
