@marcoarment I thought about this for a while and then my wife asked me where our Alexa is. She obviously meant our Echo speaker but took the name of the software for the hardware.So maybe it‘s not that stupid by Apple to give the service and the hardware the same name.

@marcoarment I have an Apple TV player. It has an Apple TV app on it. I use the app on my player to watch the Apple TV service. I mean, if you can handle the contextual elasticity and semantic drift of emojis, navigating the three meanings of Apple TV should be pretty easy.

She tends to watch regular Cable with the Cable box, but has an AppleTV and used to have ATV+ from a promo but now doesn't.. All she could tell me was “It should be on the AppleTV but it wants me to pay?”

I’m wondering if the Apple TV device gets a name change soon…
@marcoarment I wouldn’t be surprised if the Apple TV+ name returns when they launch the inevitable ad supported of the service. With “plus” being the ad free tier.
