Google AI Overview's reply is totally wrong. The official documentation (clicking the link: https://docs.gotosocial.org/en/latest/configuration/media/ ) clearly says:
"If this is set to 0, then media from remote instances will be cached indefinitely."

A screenshot of the Google AI overview page. The page is titled "Media - GoToSocial Documentation" and contains information about configuring media uploads. The main text explains that you can't disable media processing, but you can disable remote media processing by setting the media-remote-cache-days configuration variable to 0 - which is totally wrong

@stefano over the past week I tried to get a few command lines from copilot. All of them were wrong; some subtly, some completely.

It's at a point now where I specifically tell young sysadmins to not try and learn the craft using this stuff. It'll only end in tears.

@stefano LLMs were designed to create form that looks convincing; there is no notion of truth, only the emulation of logic.
