On a woodland hunt,
after days of heavy rain;
the search for mushrooms
(I know nothing about finding edible mushrooms so this picture may not be accurate on that front)
@dogtrax My grandma told me how her father used to go out gathering mushrooms in a local park, cooking them so the kitchen was aromatic. He was a Lithuanian immigrant to the US, and brought his love of mushroom hunting with him. Grandma wasn't interested in learning, because she didn't like mushrooms, so the mushroom knowledge died with him. I love mushrooms, but would have no idea how to safely hunt them.
A crisp wind, blowing
across the morning; a wisp
of Autumn yawning
