I already went through all these. SearXNG is indeed highly desirable, but I got turned down by the too numerous times my search request failed.

I ended up for the moment with @kagihq . It is not free, but doubtlessly worth it.

@fresseng @kagihq that would depend on the searxng server you're using. Some of them are quite good and stable. It's a matter of trying a few of them.
