(a) on the one hand, i refuse to believe i have to recompile the fucking rust toolchain to use a specific copy of musl libc
(b) on the other hand, not only is that absolutely a thing that would happen, i need to be able to build a rust toolchain anyway

that would be pretty cool, if rust supported a great number of platforms
rustup docs are useless here. i am now leaning towards thinking i really will need to build an entire rust toolchain with my desired musl version. "hell yeah brother" as we say in the business
