@marz We currently do this with Tomato Ketchup and Pesto.

Two things which we, whilst in the supermarket, are never quite sure if we have "enough of" and because neither my wife or I want to risk coming home to an empty jar, we buy one more.

Then we get home and start to pack the shopping away only to realise we have *multiple* of the thing we just bought already, sometimes even unopened.
