@halva really so many build pipelines can be made so much faster but i can't optimize them all so hardware helps
@halva i'm trying to think of an analogy in other spheres but like you don't buy a cheap hammer if your job involves the use of a hammer. that's honestly not a great analogy bc cheap hammers can break and cause physical harm but you do end up trying to find workarounds for hardware that's not great
@halva one thing i always try to do is minimize bandwidth (it's led to a lot of cool shit i've built) and i have a metered network connection now which forces me to care more about it
