When you’re new to Fedi, people tell you to follow #hashtags. Equally useful is to put hashtags in your own posts as well! It lets other people find you, and helps you build a social circle on here.
Hashtags based on topic are common. You can also hashtag the language you are using, to let other people who speak the same language find you, or a location, to connect with people in your area.
This may be obvious advice, but I find it’s easy to forget. 😊
