One of the cops, not sure who, tells the undercover reporter (who has just joined the Met), that when someone new joins, you have to ‘put on a mask’ around them until you’re certain you can trust them. Then you can take the mask off.

PC Martin Borg thinks it’s disgusting that some Muslims follow some rules but not others. Because he’s an expert on which rules all Muslims must follow, I guess.
Anyways, he thinks it’s hilarious that the station has been “accidentally” serving non-halal food to Muslims for weeks without telling them.
The most terrifying part about PC Martin Borg is that the undercover reporter believes MB was deliberately withholding his more extreme views because he (surprisingly sensibly) didn’t fully trust the reporter.
