As a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid, I always really appreciated when someone was making 3D games with unfiltered textures, but the last few years, I've been feeling like PS1 graphics have become somewhat of a gimmick.
But with so much really interesting looking stuff coming out recently and being in development now, I think unfiltered low-resolution textures are as much a legitimate art form as 2D Pixel Art. It doesn't need to have fake artifacts and glitches.
