Took my son banana picking at Kintarō Farm near Odawara. It was a lot of fun!
They grow Gros Michel bananas, which are generally hard to get, but are better tasting than the usual Cavendish banana you get at the supermarket. The story of how they got their operation up and going was also pretty interesting.
We got to try bananas of varying ripeness, banana juice, and banana ice cream.
