These days I’m reading Service Model, by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I’d qualify it as a “Good Time SF” book.

It’s not the most scientifically accurate nor the most socio-technically plausible book on my shelf, but it’s not a big problem.

You’re following the adventures of (Un)Charles, a valet robot through a post-collapse world. You see the world from his robotic, judgement-less perspective.

It’s refreshing and pleasant. I’m happy to dive into it each night before bed!

The cover of the book Service Model, by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It features the silhouette of a humanoid robot serving tea. In the background there are collapsed buildings, and a large moon.
