For the company that established this entire category, Tile doesn’t seem to know or care how to actually protect their users.

Between being bought out by Life360, refusing to integrate with other networks, swapping replaceable batteries for single-use e-waste, and now this, I cannot recommend Tile to anyone. In fact, I used to think I’d keep using their replaceable battery devices until they died, but I’m considering recycling them now given this news.

@cassidy I popped the batteries out of all of mine and stashed them in a drawer around the time Life360 bought them, such a shame none of the other tracking networks are cross-platform
