We were able to get the first $400 amount immediately due covered on our own yesterday, but we will still need help with other bills that have accumulated. As well as upcoming bills while Dez applies for disability assistance. Everything is getting transfered to his name but he's not able to work.
Emergency resources we normally can apply to are impacted by the gov shutdown. So we're doing the best we can to be proactive. But if we wait too long to ask for mutual aid help to get caught up we will end up more precarious and in the deficit.
We re also going to be needing to crowdfund for a new wheel chair cuz the one Dez has is falling apart. As well as new shoes (which are also falling apart) which are gonna be like $600 custom for his charcot foot and neuropathy.
