This is one of our resident Pied Currawongs that turn up and ask for a few sultanas as a snack.

It might be the one Lea calls Horatio, although it might be the other one (lets call it Yorrik for arguments sake). They're difficult to ID individually, but together Yorrik is the smaller of the two.

A mostly black bird, similar to an Australian Magpie in shape and size, but with a more formidable beak, and beady yellow eyes. You can't see it here, but it has white on its wings and tail feathers (thus the Pied name). It is standing on a green veranda railing. There are a few sultanas on the railing, and palm trees behind.
