I keep hearing about Estonia’s ID system as a model for U.K. One key difference when considering this. The U.K. now has weaker data protection laws than EU GDPR due to the Data use and access act. We also have other laws which undermine privacy such as investigatory powers act, online safety act etc. This means even a technically similar system would now pose more risk to people in the U.K. #DigtialID #Estonia #Privacy
