@Tutanota KeepassXC because it's offline with enough features. And it has automatic password capture with the browser extension. Synced with Syncthing.

KeePassXC aus Überzeugung, NoCloud Sync - Back to earth, into my hands, not into a cloud!
@Tutanota what about Proton Pass?
@Tutanota 1password family subscription since many years. Never looked at anything else, works great and well worth the money.
@Tutanota im using proton pass for main
@Tutanota Bitwarden. I host my own service.
@Tutanota please don't recommend lastpass
Also the most important part, vault encryption is missing.

@Tutanota KeePassXC on Linux, Android (and unfortunately still on Mac) with absolutly no syncing
@Tutanota - KeePassXC on Linux, KeePassium & Passwords on iOS and iPadOS.
@Tutanota KeepassXC is the best, and these two Xs are pros, not cons.
Yes, password managers are important, and so is digital sovereignty — especially in these troubling times. That’s why it’s crucial to choose a password manager that operates outside the jurisdictions of the United States, Russia, and China

@Tutanota I use KeepassXC with Dropbox for sync at the moment. If I forgot to put a password in Keepass, I take the time to reset it via a new generated in keepassxc to improve security.
@Tutanota I use Bitwarden. It was easy to setup.
@Tutanota seem not many people using dashlane
@Tutanota I'm using a selfhosted vaultwarden server. Which is bitwarden.
@Tutanota Huge phan of Keepass here. I don't trust strangers' storage with my passwords. The version of Keepass I use has no internet connectivity. That implies keeping my password file backed up myself.
Also necessary: Iron Discipline putting passwords into the manager. I have a specific ritual which never varies when asked to create a password. So far, so good.
KeePassXC on all machines (Linux, Windoze), dbase is kept on my NAS and synched to my Android devices for use with KeePass2Android.
@Tutanota : ich hoffe ihr seid nicht böse, wenn ich als tuta User protonpass verwende. 😃
@Tutanota I am currently using Bitwarden, but Proton Pass is an excellent app, it should be included in your list.
@Tutanota 1password from long time ago
@Tutanota I understand why "some" password managers are not on this list, but WHY is there Lastpass?
Switched from LastPass to Bitwarden when the former was breached.
I'm happy to support them by paying their nominal fee.
@Tutanota Bitwarden for me.
@Tutanota this comparison looks like LastPass is as good as Bitwarden and actually better than KeePassXC
Just take a look at all those breaches https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LastPass
This looks like a misinformation
@Tutanota bitwarden. Used Dashlane before and it did work better on phone apps, but it wasn't worth the money over bitwarden
@Tutanota I was using Bitwarden once , now Proton Pass. At work keepass
@Tutanota Being on KeepassXC for ages. Using it in combo with syncthing removes the need for cloud sync. You have your password solely on your discs only.
keepassdx is the app for Android - this is missing in your comparison.
@darthvader42 Thanks for mentioning this!
@Tutanota For some reason, you haven't included Proton's password manager? 🤔
@Tutanota I use Apple Passwords and sometimes Vault-/Bitwarden (for passwords not yet in passwords) 🙂
